Bhuli Bhatiyari Ka mahal - Jovial Holiday

The Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal is considered one of the most haunted places in the country. Today, the structure stands in ruins, with remarkably few visitors.

The structure bears an unusual name, and various theories might help people understand this peculiar name.

According to one theory, it is thought that this place became home to a very famous Sufi saint, Bu Ali Bakhtiyari and Bhuli Bhatiyari is simply a distortion of that name.

Another theory suggests that this place is named after a Bhatiyarin (a tribal lady from Rajasthan), who forgot her way and ended up at this place, which is why this place acquired this name. The structure has a considerable masonry gate, which lies in rubble.

It takes you towards a small area. In that area, you will find another gateway made up of corbelled arches that take you towards the open square-shaped courtyard. Many rooms are adjacent to this courtyard, which people must have used before.

Towards the northern side, there’s a semi-circular structure that you can go to only via a flight of stairs. On one side of that semi-circular structure, the Delhi government has built a modern toilet to promote the Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal Delhi as a tourist place. Still, their efforts have been largely unsuccessful due to the place being haunted.

Another peculiar thing about this place is that whenever the government has employed a security guard, they have lasted only a day or two. The main gate at this place also has a sign which says not to enter after sunset.
